The LibDems plan to introduce car parking charges at School Green, Shinfield. The plan was revealed at a recent Council Meeting following a question from the Conservatives.
The local community uses the car park at School Green to visit the community centre, the local café, the doctor's surgery, the pharmacy, the care home, and the nearby sports pitches.
Introducing car parking charges would cause huge disruption in the local area. It would add further cost and inconvenience to hard-working families. And would lead to chaos with cars parking on neighbouring roads.
The LibDem plan for Shinfield is becoming clear. They will concrete over our countryside with 3,900+ new houses at Hall Farm. They have closed the Community Flat on Frensham Green. They are backing Labour's decision to stop the Conservative plans for a new Royal Berkshire Hospital. And now they will introduce car parking charges at School Green.
